Why Vision Coverage Matters for El Paso County Freelancers

Bundling Vision with Dental and Health as a El Paso County Freelancer
You don’t have to buy health, dental and vision from one company; they’re separate policies, and each can be changed on its own schedule. Health is the big number: $376 a month for the lowest-cost 2026 Bronze plan at age 40 in El Paso County, before subsidies.

Urgent eye problems, such as a chemical splash or sudden loss of vision, are treated as medical care and billed to health insurance rather than the vision plan.
